Firefly TheatreIt is time for the 13th annual Let There Be Height: An Aerial Cabaret, a fundraiser in support of the Firefly Circus Academy, June 7th and 8th 2017 in the Westbury Theatre at Fringe Theatre Adventures. Now in its thirteenth year, this unique performance event features Edmonton’s professional and upcoming circus artists along with physical theatre, comedy and dance. “Let There Be Height” is one of a kind in Edmonton – come and see ordinary people doing extraordinary things, 20 feet in the air. You may have to remind yourself to breath as you witness the astonishing skills of more than 75 up & coming aerial artists as they flaunt gravity climbing, hanging and dropping on the trapeze, aerial silks, hoop, vertical rope, and more. The theme for the 2017 showcase is: Super Heroes, Super Villains, and Superlatives.

You will meet the dreaded Disney Villainesses who fly on Aerial Silks, witness scenes from infamous Pink Panther heist retold in an airborne fashion, and see the return of Sweet Polly Purebred (think Underdog!) on the spinning Aerial Hoop. It’s going to be the best ever!

More than 75 performers range in age from 9 to 55 years and are drawn from over 400 individuals who take classes, attend workshops and train with Firefly Theatre & Circus throughout the year. Come and see ordinary people doing extraordinary things in the air!

Tickets: $30 on sale now at Tix On The Square, 780-420-1757 or $35 at the door.
Doors open and Silent Auction begins at 6:30 p.m. Show begins at 7:30 p.m.
